Pelicans
Pelicans
One of my favorite places is the wild coasts of Long Beach Washington. I have often spent whole months there by myself wondering, walking for miles along the long lonely stretches of coastline. While visiting one day with my camera in hand a rare sighting of a "squadron" of pelicans lay out before me. Instincts took over as I squatted down and shot as many pictures as I could trying to capture the magic of nature's gift. Pelicans are known for their loyalty of sense of community. They mate for life and often travel in large flocks, which is seen as a sign of abundance, rebirth and regeneration.
